Southeastern knows its place and fills the need for a lower tier college in La. USL is and always will be butthurt over LSU being the flagship and a better all around school

Its true

Drinks are stronger and cheaper

Less bullshite (never seen a meathead fight in hammond)

Better ratio

None or cheap cover

Not overcrowded.

Did you read the part where he said tigerland?

I would take a night out in Bunkie over a night out in tigerland.

With a business degree you won't see a significant different in opportunities between any of the 3

I might have agreed with you if you said Reggie's or something, but Bogies > any bar in Hammond. Sorry bro.

seriously dude...check out the link to SELU i posted with environmental studies. Highly recommended. Southeastern is hard to beat with having access to Turtle Cove. It's an interesting and fun curriculum and awesome professors. You won't regret it.

The dude can't even manage a 2.0, wants to hang out with his high school buddies, and is asking how hot the girls are at different schools. His hopes and dreams are to be a history teacher, a cop, or a movie writer? None of this going to college advice means anything to him. He won't get anything out of it, and will continue on the same path. Really needs to take a step back and look at himself. College is a waste of money at that point

This, and he wants to travel. The obvious answer is military, learn a trade and figure out what you want to do.

I'm graduating from Southeastern in a couple weeks. I also transferred there and commute from BR. As much as school sucks in general, I have really enjoyed myself in Hammond. All my classes are in the business building and the faculty is great. Graduating with a BS in Supply Chain Mgmt on the 17th. The business school really is pretty damn good.

I just graduated in Accounting in December and was offered a job by a large firm almost a year before graduating. The firm I work for does not recruit out of ULL so that kind of tells me something.

Dude you got a public accounting job, all that takes is a pulse

Whatever do you, do not go to southern for engineering, especially if you're already at LSU. I'm not saying you can't so well with an engineering degree from there, but your job applications are going to immediately get pushed to the bottom of the pile. LSU isn't a great academic institution by any means but their degrees are respected regionally and recruiters look for LSU graduates.

Exactly what I advised on the second page. Dude has no direction at all and is just throwing stuff out there. Needs to get his head on straight and obviously learn some work ethic. Military is the answer because he doesn't seem like the type who could handle a blue collar job

I wish I would've done it when I got booted from LSU. Hell, I wish I could do it now, but medical reasons won't allow me to. Can't go back and change the past though

Southeastern has been upgrading facilities for the past decade or so. Their new student union is really nice.
