Yeah I know that. But once you frick with the US, frick you. They still didn't take us seriously in WWII. Till after we we had to bail them out. I could at least respect the Russians for holding their own.

This. The "painted people" existed long before Wallace's time, and were feared by the Romans - for a while, anyway.
