So you can be so sure of this..even to the point of assuring me of a spirit world..

But can you give me any hard evidence that points toward this unseen world? And going further, can you give me evidence that your christian God is the "right" and only "real one true God" amongst thousands of others throughout the world?

Usually the more "educated" one becomes, the more they are open let go of fairy tale stories and realize life is very much worth living and its very freeing to rid yourself living your life by a child's bed time story. There is not a single logical reason for believing in this God/Spirit Mumbo jumbo, this "personal relationship with your savior" or whatever nonsense people are calling it these days to try to make it sound more appealing than the hundreds of other religions around the world.

I can understand how easy it is in the south to get caught up in the Christianity fling, though. It's ingrained into the culture.

I never said it is a bad thing. That's not my point. My point is that increased education presents unique obstacles to faith. It's one of thousands of stumbling blocks. That's all.

That's just another way of calling it a bad thing. Equally rediculous on thousands of levels.

All I have is my experiences. Would you believe them? Speaking in tongues, weird, pervasive noises in my house one night years ago, experienced by my wife and kids also.

Would you believe I saw a man on his death bed get up and walk out of the hospital days later with no medical explanation?

Would you believe that someone with a severed brain stem could literally talk?

Of course I believe them. I don't believe you're lying or attempting to deceive others.

You're simply conveying your experiences with the power of God.

Jesus the Christ was and is your needed, witnessed evidence; prophesied of old, spoke of, written about, He is the only one to call himself the son of God where others only call themselves followers. He pointed us to the Father and proved himself through his witmessed works. All was done for you, me and everyone to know God as our Father. There are no other gods except those created by man.

So, you believe in a supreme being but don't believe in a religion that has followed/studied that supreme being for 1000s of years. But you don't think in some way you're more intelligent than those theologians?

You're a lost soul kid. And yes, you think you're more intelligent. Which, oddly enough, shows all of us how dumb you are.

Something like

Strange sounds of trumpets, horns, wailing in the skies...

that's not what you think it is...,

Yes it is...,

No it's not...,

God is great...,

God's not real...,

Yes, He Is...,

Prove it...,

I did.

Spiders.

I don't know what's out there, or what's next. But I am glad that, regardless of what happens, I will not have to spend eternity with these party animals.
