That PBY looks like it's taken on some water because the nose should be floating higher than that.

Is it me or should that plane not have its landing gear down in water? That's a float plane, wheels aren't required. Maybe that's why it looks like it has taken on water.

That's at FloraBama? Doesn't Jimmy Buffet fly a Catalina? I thought he crashed it once before in Boston, and broke his leg.

I've always heard his sister owns FloraBama, so that is why I suggested the possibility. Have no idea if it is true or not.

Ok. This is what I got...
Plane didn't get airborne again after it landed. Someone told me the similarity to the actual events from WWII when one landed at the survivors spot from the USS Indianapolis event and was unable to get airborne then.
Barge cranes have been on site for the past 2 days attempting to pull the seaplane out. They worked through the night apparently without success.
Thought it was done until they pulled it up just now from under the water! May have sunk last night. It's on the barge now. Wow.
