What is this board's thoughts on Chacos?

I see way too many people in their early to mid 20's walking around with a pair of these on during the summer. Are that many people avid hikers or something? Sad that a shoe with an actual purpose just gets turned into another accessory for the sorostitute uniform.

Yeah!! and its stupid that people buy Nike shoes when they are just going to walk around.. Its like if you're not running, why dont you wear some normal shoes.

I think they look goofy and don't wear them but that's just my personal opinion. It doesn't make me upset that people aren't only wearing them to hike.

They are very comfortable, but they are extremely ugly. I really only wear them when I'm kayaking.

And all you people wearing tennis/running/basketball/athletic shoes are actually doing something athletic all the time in them?
I've had chacos in the past. Very comfortable to wear. And much easier to do things in compared to flip flops.

not my cup of tea, but I don't worry about what other people wear. My wife has a couple of pairs and wears them frequently

I don't wear chacos, I wear these. But I guess I can't anymore because I'm not perpetually roasting a luau pig on a beach in the south pacific
