Since people are negging on the 225...
Having moved away from BR, it's not as bad as I thought, and it's getting a lot better. South Baton Rouge around Highland Road is a pretty scenic area. Relatively educated middle class population due to there being a university, the state capital, and the petrochemical industry there. It's also the most forested city in the country (most trees per area for cities over a certain threshold in population). I went out downtown a few weeks ago and it's dramatically better than it was 5 years ago. As far as southern cities go, the people are also friendly southerners but they don't usually have annoying arse accents like people from MS, AL, etc.

Memphis is the worst city in America aside from Detroit. So it has to be Memphis.

Laredo, TX. That place is a war zone

I've been stuck in this place for 3 months. It's terrible. It's not the worst because they actually have a decent strip club
I mean, Panama City isn't great, but it doesn't even belong in this thread.

Haven't been but I'm sure most tx/mex border towns are.
I've been to Brownsville; i remember seeing the plethora of used car dealerships that had very cheap deals. Must be money laundering for drugs

Think it's bad now? You should have seen it before the race track moved there.

Drive through Donaldsonville and I think you will find your answer. If you aren't satisfied, go to Selma, Al.

2 of the best boudin places in that area almost across the street from each other prevents it from reaching "worst town" status.

In my personal, well traveled opinion.
I'll say that Miamisburg, OH is a terrible, Southern town. A more racist, hick, redneck, and all around terrible town cannot be found south of the mason-dixon line.
Williston, ND.
Yeah it's also up North, WAAAAY up north, but 85% of the people in that town are southerners, and act like they ain't never been nowhurr.
Alright, fine. My vote for worst "Southern" town is a four way split between Demopolis, AL; Farmville, VA; Cullman, AL; and Hartsville, SC.

No denying that. If you don't know to reduce your speed before you cross the top of the bridge, you're probably getting ticketed.
