I'm convinced the year I took Afrin when I was a teen fricked up my sinuses for life.

Copenhagen

Been quite a few years and I could start again tomorrow like I never stopped.

Hard days at work make it damn tough.

Nicotine. Took me several years to finally kick it 5+ years ago.

very, very likely...

all of those nasal sprays, after a few days of use cause rebound congestion that's actually worse than the original congestion you started using it for in the 1st place

Airborne is not better, either... it can cause permanent loss of smell

Klonopin, alcohol and weed combo.

The worst to get off was klonopin. Weed just a few days withdrawal(I was heavy into doing wax), alcohol not so much a problem, but the klonopins were a BITCH. Severe muscle spasms.

Pretty regular pot smoker and 4-5 after going cold Turkey wasn’t fun but definitely manageable. 14 years on the ole long cut wintergreen was hell to break. Even had cravings well into the next month. Not frequent cravings but would still pop up.

and i never would have been able to do IV drugs... just no way

I said the same thing until one day I had a bad idea and tried it. Just said I would only do it once because I at least wanted to know why people did it (I was snorting the h at the time). Girl I knew that shot up kept trying to talk me out of it and I told her look it's just this one time so she hit me and I was like damn this probably won't be the only time

Something is off in my brain. I’ve smoked cigarettes a pack a day, had points where I would drink way too much way too frequently, went through 1/4# of marijuana a week for a couple of years, etc., etc. I’ve never developed a dependence on anything or felt withdrawal symptoms. When I quit I quit cold turkey. I say it’s my brain because I’m impervious to hallucinogens and I’m pretty sure that’s connected.

I quit watching pron for a few years. I knew I was in too deep when I’d lay in bed and feel a presence near me. I envisioned a 4 foot tall yoda-ish built demon standing next to my bed. I knew it was the pron waiting to consume me again.

ETA I grew up baptist so touching my wee wee was a sin.

Coming from a bloodline full of alcoholics, deadbeats, and bad habits I’m amazed that my one and only vice is my morning energy drink/preworkout. Bucked Up products are my crack.

I used to gnaw on my finger nails when I was a teenager. Then one day I said I’m gonna stop and after a couple of weeks of focusing on not doing it I haven’t chewed on my finger nails since. It’s pretty easy to quit stuff cold turkey if you actually work at it.

Why? Did it make your anxiety go through the roof or did it cause other physical withdrawals?

That's what messed up Jordan Peterson too.
