Someone famous said that was the measure of genius. I wonder what just "smart" is.

So I'm famous but not smart. I can live with that.

Do you want my autograph?

Well that's completely false

It's COMPLETELY false? That's a bold statement considering intelligence isn't confined to one definition or characteristic. Would you say logical thinking is a sign of intelligence? Ability to communicate? Problem solving? Learning and application?

Did you know that the OP asked for a personal definition, or an opinion? Some would argue reading comprehension is a sign of intelligence. What does that say about you?

There's different types of intelligence brah. Some guys are dumber than a sack of rocks but can figure out a way to fix damn near anything. Some people couldn't use a screwdriver but can solve abstract problems like nobody's business. Some people aren't good at much of anything but are amazing musicians. Etc, etc. All are types of intelligence and all have their place.

Similar to that, one day we were at a hog roast and a friend of mines brother in law was there. My friend told me he was some hot shot attorney, but didn't know much else outside of attorney things. While the hog was roasting we went to light the pit to cook some other things. Dumped the charcoal in the pit and lit it. He watched and asked "how many times can you use that?" I just replied with "use what?" He replied with "that's charcoal, right? How many times can you use it?"

A mixture of being well rounded, book smart, street smart and good at problem solving.

Less than 10% of total population. There are so many dummies out there.
