What happens if you don't pay a traffic light ticket?

I got a ticket from making a right turn at a traffic light. The ticket needed to be paid on June 29th and I forgot. I'd rather not pay it if nothing will happen

Anyone ever just not pay them?

Last I heard it was 4-6 years minimum in a maximum security teenage girls juvenile facility.

Wife never got hers because her vehicle was still registered with old address when she got the ticket. About a year later when we were looking at refinancing our house it was on her credit report.

This was in Lafayette

Don't be a poor, pay the ticket. If you don't pay it, you'll likely worry about what could happen for the next 5 years or so. (even though nothing will happen)

It depends on who issues the ticket. IIrc, New Orleans PD doesn't farm that out to a private service, so it's a normal ticket. I could be wrong.

Depends on where it is. In TX if you dont pay you cannot get your vehicle registration renewed the following year. Then they will turn you over to collections and will go on your credit.

Late teen or early teen.

....please be late teen.

I don't pay them. They can suck it.

Right on red should allow a rolling stop.

Lafayette sends them to credit report. Baton rouge does not.

A quick phone call asking for debt validation gets it tossed.

You never agreed to be in a financial agreement with them.

New Orleans has an officer sitting in Vegas then. Pretty sure that is where my last one came from.

My Mom got a traffic light ticket in New Orleans back in 2012 and didn't pay it. Last week her suv got booted and had to pay $700 to be released. Frickin unbelieveable.

Just pay the damn thing.

Your credit report isn't appreciative of not paying them.

In Oregon and WA they will just simply suspend your license and go from there. Yeah, those a-hole get theirs.
