What do you think is "the meaning of life?"

What do you believe is the purpose of our tenure on earth? Obviously much of our life is spent trying to earn money to provide for ourselves, our families, pay bills/taxes, have shelter, transportation, etc. Is there a deeper meaning than just acquiring material things and fulfilling needs and desires? I thought about this and it could possibly be to make some sort of positive impact. Leave the world better than you found it. To protect the world's resources. What do you think?

I've seen the beginning of life and the ending of life up close and personal over the course of last couple of months. From those experiences I feel that the meaning of life is about exploring your interests and embracing relationships.

I strongly doubt that this life has any purpose or meaning beyond what lies we tell ourselves in order to keep going.

I think there is the possibility of a higher being, but I would have to think that if there was a specific meaning of life.. It would be made clear to us what exactly it is. If we have a meaning and have to spend a lifetime trying to figure it out then what's the point of that meaning?
