I saw one of my friends wearing one yesterday and I started laughing at him. His GF got it for him as a xmas gift so he said he felt obligated to wear it once! What a gay!

the fact that they're less acceptable than a backwards snapback is pretty indicative of the poor fashion sense of our collective society

Nothing screams dumbass quite like a flat bill.

If the fedora is proving too stressful you might consider a dixie driving cap in some golfish plaid. It provides a similar dashing irony but just seems more playful. And who wants to stand in the shadow of men like Dr. Jones or Leonard Cohen?

And if you're having these doubts about the fedora, keep a fierce distance from the Homburg.

Most of you haters are probably young guys who were wearing flatbill Affliction hats last year or backwoods blue collar types that consider pleated jeans, boots, and a western shirt to be "dressing up". For special occasions like weddings and funerals you'll wear your fancy lockblade instead of your everyday Leatherman on your leather belt that has your name stamped on the back

Yep, totally.

I've always wanted to wear a hat with a suit. Are all hats that aren't baseball hats considered fedoras now? Since when does wearing a hat make you a loser? I've never personally worn one, but I wouldn't mind having one that matches my favorite suit.

This. All of it.
