Talked to my friend earlier this week and he informed me that he bought 3 shirts for 100$ for Black Friday deal. Me, who wears gap shirts for work asked why, and he said any decent button shirt costs that much.

You baws pay 50$+ for shirts?

Any decent button down is definitely going to cost well over $50, unless you get them on sale or at an outlet store.

I usually wait until Alton Lane does a sale on their button downs, which cost $100 regular price for their cheapest one. So around $80 or so I would say would be my cheapest shirts for work.

But those are custom tailored, not an off the rack shirt.

I wear polos/button downs with nice jeans or slacks.

A quality tailored dress shirt can run $150 and up. I used to think it was BS until I had a few made. It is literally made for you and fits like a glove. It’s an expense I’m willing to pay for.

Or you can get Charles Tyrwitt shirts for 30 to 50 bucks with metal collar stays, extra slim fit, any kind of collar, French or regular cuff. And wonderful customer service.

Business Casual so slacks and button down. I don't wear the most expensive clothes, but I'd say $100 for button down, slacks, and shoes so $300 combined daily. We also wear sports coats when it's colder outside. Jackets are fine it's just kind of the office norm for our group so sports coat someday as well ˜$300

I bought a dress shirt a few weeks ago, first one in about 10 years, it was $49.00 on sale. Hopefully will never buy another one, I don't work, and it is in my will to be wearing cargo shorts and fishing shirt when I am buried.

I pay $50+ for women's lingerie in my size. That's what I wear to work.
