What do the OTers in the Nola area think of John Osterlind?

I started listening to 95.7 as of 6 months ago on my morning commute.
I laughed and agreed with Osterlind this morning about the double-standard in "teachers doing sex with students" debate and how hot Erin McAuliffe(SFW) is in the most recent incident.
But I can see how a LOT of people would be triggered by some of the shite he says on a public radio broadcast.
I'm just curious to know what you Nola-area OTers think of him.

I like him. Good conservative. Would always have CB Forgotston on his show when he was alive. Would have fun tearing Louisiana politicians a new one.

I agree there. I was going to reference them for comparison. But he doesn't even hide some of his xenophobic and homophobic leanings when making fun of shite. I'm all for his free speech and don't want him censored. But I'm shocked others haven't called for his job.

Scoot was cool 35 years ago, that's when he was a morning rock-jock, and not a "social commentator" as he pretends to be now. He thinks because he's older, he's smarter and has wisdom. He's just got 1 year of experience 40 times over.

Used to really like him on 99.5 in the evenings a few years ago.
Never really got a chance to hear his morning show though.

I like the midnight mitch bit. I saw him perform in a band live a few years back at bayou beerfest in Houma. Not good at all.

Minus profanity, he's like listening to an old white dude ramble about non-PC shite.
One morning he was going on about a guy in a picture with shite like "Clearly he doesn't like women" and "He looks like a fairy."
And another he was mocking the way Indians(dot not feather) talk when taking his order at Subway.
And this morning on his double-standard rant he said it's perfectly okay to enjoy seeing two women fooling around but two men is disgusting.
It's like common sense truisms but DJs rarely say on air. shite is funny to me. But he'd be crucified in those SJW-friendly cities around the country.

Osterlind is better than most everything else non-sports related in the morning in NOLA. The only other option then WWL and a commercial every 5 minutes is Jeff Crouer.

I would like his 95.7 show a lot more if they stopped playing so much music in between his bits and made it a pure talk show. It was a shame how he got railroaded at 99.5.

Meh. After his 1st couple of years, he wouldn't prepare for his evening shows and just read conservative articles on air. The music allows for shorter segments he can prepare for or he does it during the songs. Much better.

I listen occasionally when I don't feel like listening to music in the morning. Not much different than W&J IMO.
