Same thing they saw in Donny Osmond in the seventies, same thing they see in Harry Styles today. Nonthreatening male sexuality. They're not like the icky boys their own age, and not like the older, dangerous or pervy guys they might run into in the real world. They're a safe way to explore their feelings for the opposite sex

I’ve actually been listening to BB and NSync lately. They’re songs hold up well and unlike bands today, they could dance… especially NSync.
Check out this NSync live performance, they’re dancing and performing on a tiny 8’x8’ stage. 20 years later I’ve come to appreciate the talent.
