I will go over situations multiple times in my head; past, present, and future. Sometimes I'll act them out even when they already passed.
I get pretty bad intrusive thoughts, especially when trying to sleep or when I'm stressed.
I will check something multiple times to make sure it's right. Example 2+5= 7, I'll add it up 4 times and sometimes restart a whole problem just to be sure. Or when filing I'll read the numbers 5 or 6 times when I know I was right the first time.
If you go through my posts, they're mostly edited because I go through them multiple times, like what I'm doing now.

99% of the things in this thread aren't OCD.
Yeah, they're quirky. But many of them can be OCD behavior, depending on how the person feels/reacts if he isn't able to do them. I like a clean house, but I don't become an emotional wreck when it's dirty.

I do the same, mostly because editing is part of my job, and it's hard to shed the hypervigilance outside of work.
Also, when I make a one-liner post that happens to be funny, but I have to go back and edit it to correct a typo, I feel like the "edited" note just ruins the post.

When I finish wiping my butt after I poop, I always smell my dirty fingers at least once.

Why would anyone downvote this? It's a good thing!

I used to freebase in a classic OCD manner. Then again, who didn't?

Knock three times...on the ceiling.

I also rotate my towels, tee shirts, and underwear, etc. Ones out the washer and dryer always go on the bottom. There is a legitimate reason for this.

I can't stand to have any air blowing directly on me. I have an AC vent at work almost directly over my desk and it drives me nuts. Fans blowing right at me drives me crazy as well.

My vehicle has keyless entry where you press two buttons on the driver side handle to lock it. Even though its now a muscle memory habit that I always lock it as soon as I get out I never fail to walk about 10 yards away only to question myself if my truck is locked. Then I go back to find out I did lock it. Every damn time.
Thinking about it now makes me want to go and check.
Also tapping all my pockets to make sure I have my stuff.

Same here, but just my polos, not the button down shirts.
How do you handle any striped shirts?

I count my M&Ms by 2s to see if there is ever an even number of them in the bag. I think I've only counted an even number once or twice. I think small bags are 53.

Flip the meat on burgers so the mayo/ketchup is on both sides

Hope and pray that one more penny wouldn't be enough to change the gallons.

All of my shirts are organized based on the spectrum.
As far as solids, stripes, plaids - it would go like this:
If were talking blue shirts, the solids would go first from light to dark, then stripes, and then plaids as long as blue is the dominant color in the plaid.

I can't have the volume on an odd number. The only exceptions are multiples of 5. I know I really can't tell if it's on an odd number, but I have to check. If it is, I grab the remote
