I have a Sawstop cabinet saw, Felder sliding table saw, Northfield jointer, Oliver planer, Woodmaster drum sander, Minimax/Delta/Powermatic bandsaws, Nova drill press, Felder shaper, Laguna lathe, Felder edge sander and a few other smaller machines.

Impressive collection.

Myself..Ridgid table saw, Ryobi battery lineup and I've had the same for right about 5 years with regular (sometimes heavy) use without problem. Will say, their sawzall is not a sturdy tool, but otherwise I'm pleased. Ryobi miter saw as well.

Dewalt, Bosch, and maybe a Ryobi or Hitachi smaller power tool on occasion.

Dewalt for battery drill and 1/4 impact.

My corded stuff, sanders, router, and random other things are mixed. Dewalt, Mikita, Ridgid, Bosch... I don't brand it on cords. I prefer corded for some reason. The drill and driver I take all around the house but the corded stuff tends to stay in the workshop.

Miter saw is Harbor Freight, but who cares, it holds 90 and 45 and that's all I've ever used it for. I'll dip into HF stuff for things I know don't really matter, i.e. palm sander and the like. I even have a >30 year old craftsman circular saw that still runs. It was a hand-me-down that still runs and a new blade runs well.

There is good, and then knowing where to cheap out. Even I buy way more than I need at times.

Go to is Dewalt.

Next choice would be Makita.

Have had good luck with Porter-Cable.

My main 3 that I have a good bit of each are DeWalt, Porter-Cable and Makita and all of them are in fine working order with no complaints.

I do have a few Milwaukee tools and they too are in good order.

Actually been looking at this very topic over the last few weeks. Always just got something to deal with little projects here and there. By no means a woodworker. Finally got a decent brushless DeWalt drill and realized it's time to get decent stuff. Built some cabinets for the garage (frame and panel) and it came out extremely well. I'm tired of just getting by with a cheap kobalt miter saw and garbage Ryobi circ. saw.

So I'm in the market for a table saw (will upgrade those other items at some point). Smaller work area off of garage, so can't get anything huge. Thinking of a jobsite saw that I set up next to my rolling workbench to have an outfeed table, but can store under when not in use. Looks like not many can take a 3/4" dado stack. Any suggestions that are budget friendly? Home Depot seems to have a good deal on a Rigid.

Dewalt. Their flexvolt system is genius. 20, 60 and 120v systems are all interchangeable.

Rigid has lifetime battery replacement so that’s huge.

Dewalt. i apparently sold my soul for yellow 20v batteries, so now, i have to buy whatever they put out. i'm looking a their chainsaw and pole saw because home depot has a sale.

actually, the only dewalt tool i ever had fail was a router. Everything else just keeps going, or had a 18v battery and i abandoned it. not a commercial user, but busier than most homeowners.

Exactly what you would expect from who may be TD's oldest poster: Craftsman. Back when, Sears sold some of the best tools made.

Needless to say, my collection has been augmented with other brands since about 1980. For small jobs the newer cordless tools, but for larger projects, it's still the corded Craftsman saw, drill, router, etc. The drill does have a new cord; otherwise, never a problem with any of them.

I'm a millwright I use Milwaukee Fuel impacts everyday. They are the best on the market hands down.

I have all Dewalt.
I was given a Ryobi circular saw a while back, before they went with the bright green color, and it was a piece of shite. After that i said i wasn't buying cheap tools again, and it's been all Dewalt since then and i have had zero issues. looking to get the pole saw and hedge trimmer this thanksgiving, assuming it goes on sale.
I'd be open to Makita, but i've got 3 Dewalt 20v batteries, so it makes no sense to switch at this point.

That being said, i've heard nothing but good things about Ryobi over the last few years from a buddy of mine that uses just Ryobi, and does a lot more wood working than me. They are a great residential tool to invest in, as most people aren't using their tools daily, or even monthly.

Circular saws are usually a tool worth buying a better brand. The Ryobi corded miter saw has actually been a good tool for me and I've gotten a good bit of use out of it.
