9/11 means a lot of different things to people.... I see it as them being able to come in THIS country and try to change OUR lives.... They took over our fricking planes on a normal day in this country and changed the world.......

So if 9/11 means something different to a wide variety of people, why the hell are you criticizing my point of view? LOL

I'd like you to tell me where exactly I went wrong.

For what it's worth, I don't believe your very short narrow analysis is necessarily wrong, but it's full of naivety and innocence which excludes the larger picture.

Your need for attention is fricking sad

Do you do this to everyone who starts a thread? This is a legit discussion to have and you hijack the thread with your same "stop being an attention whore" bullshite. If you think someone is being an attention whore or you don't like the idea they started a thread then don't give the thread attention..

I'll be the first to admit that in the past I've sought attention, but any person with an average brain could see that this thread wasn't an attention seeking thread.

It's the same people over and over who criticize others but never produce meaningful discussion themselves. I'm not surprised by that. Most people insult when they are incapable of serious discussion. It's a defense mechanism.

The people who flew the planes were pissed because we came to their land and got involved militarily.

Not sure the reasoning for the people who funded the operation.

And they did change the world, or life in America for the worst. People are scared, government has grown, freedoms lost.

Millions didn't celebrate you dumbass. Some did, but you idiots don't look at the root cause of their celebrating the attacks. If the US would've left the ME alone there wouldn't have been a 9/11 and a war on terror that killed over 3 million people. You can thank your government for 9/11 and subsequent attacks

We already knew that. No need for you to write an entire gospel about it in the OP.

TJ,

Whether you realize it or not, you and I share the same opinion. You pretty much restated what I said in the OP.

I don't know if you are seeking attention or not but I don't really care. I enjoyed the OP. We are all relativistic in that our primary concern will always be ourselves and those closest to us. We create this idea that all of those people are bad and out to kill us. This isn't the truth but it makes our actions easier to swallow.

In an ideal world we would all gladly work together for the good of all humanity. It's what makes me like doomsday movies so much. In these movies it's not about the American spirit as it is the human spirit. It's refreshing.

In reality, I don't think we can do anything different than what we are doing now. As long as we live we will always out our interests above those who are not us. Which I suppose is how it should be.

I firmly believe that we have to do what we have to do to survive. I just hate that it has to be as complete as death.

My aunt and cousins are not politicians, so, repeat, that day is not game to them. They gained no advantage, they lost a husband & a father. And I am no fool for defending them from arse wipes like you. Rant all you want on any subject, you seem to have an opinion on everything. But on behalf of my family, screw you.

Not sure why you think this post (of all posts) is a need for attention. If anything, it's just a different point of view of an incredibly tragic world event.

Haha by the end you weren't even trying. I have absolutely no doubt you thought "today I'll troll the board by writing some really long non-sensical diatribe about nothing and connect it to 9/11."

Have you taken the time to read 'The War Prayer' yet? Take too much effort?
