I'm trying to slow down my backswing and improve my rhythm overall. I tend to get super quick going back.
Anyone have any tips on improving rhythm?

The fat iron shot. I do not fire my hips properly. That has to change.

I'll be banging my buddy's wife while he is playing every weekend

It's not as bad in the winter months but when it gets hot and the ground firms up I often times hit the ball so far I can't find it. This year I'm thinking about going only gap wedge, 60 deg, putter.

I'm just committing to playing more. The last couple years it has become harder and harder to play but this is the year I commit to it again.

Need to get my driver consistent.
As far as tempo, I remember reading that Vijay would put a club cover under his right armpit--that would keep his motion compact and he would evenly count one, two, three throughout the swing (three triggering the start of the downswing). The count was slow and measured enough to keep the backswing slow and the swing in rhythm, but fast enough to make sure the head cover didn't fall out from under the arm.

3rd for me would be walking more.
I think everyone should look to walk more this season.
Its how the game was meant to be played.
Thinking about getting one of these bad boys....

Make sure that left wrist is flat at impact.

It was meant to be played without a pushcart too
I walk some but I have a pushcart too
My bag and its contents are not walker friendly

I think I'm going to start putting as a lefty.
Anyone ever tried switching sides on the green?

I am taking a break, actually.
I want to stay with the basic mechanics. When I play something too consistently, I develop bad behaviors. I've found ways to get rid of bad behaviors is to stop doing something, then start back up later...where only mechanics remain.

I was playing my best golf (somewhat consistently breaking 80) last year. Then I got the shanks with my Lob - Gap wedges. It carried over through the off season. Stuff I've done to fix it before hasn't worked. Rest of my game is better than ever. Gotta fix this shite.
