re: What are the small things in life that give you joy/satisfaction?

That feeling when I get off of work at 4 PM on Fridays when I have a big weekend of fun stuff planned ahead.

On the same note, the feeling of going to bed on a Friday night in the fall knowing that there's a full day of college football fun to be had the next day, especially when LSU plays a home game.

Personal: Great food, that is, food that people who create it are super passionate about it, take great pride in their product, and pour their heart and soul into it, which in turn makes it taste really amazing in my mouth.

Professional: People who take great pride in their work, and care about what they put their name to.

My bathrobe

Sleeping for the first time on fresh sheets and blanket that have been washed.

The feeling of pride/accomplishment after cutting the grass and slaving out in the yard for a few hours during the hot and humid summer.

- Seeing my wife
- Watching my kids play baseball
- Dog greeting me at the back door
- Doing most anything out in the yard
- Spending time with my mom
- First cup of coffee in the morning
- Rare moments when I get to do nothing
- Listening to the house when it is actually quiet.

Wide open throttle in my boat.
Cash in my pocket.
Making a batch of salsa to enjoy with Friday Margaritas
That small bit of time between being dressed and ready to go out and locking the back door.

Taking one of those monster dumps where you can feel a void in your gut afterwards.

My dog curling up in bed next to me on a cold night to stay warm.

A fire.

A well struck golf ball.

My wifes perfume.
