Time to decide between the 2. Is St Michaels like the De La Salle of BR?

Isn't St Michael's a school for special needs kids?

Yes, in New Orleans. In Baton Rouge it's a Coed Catholic high school

St Michaels

Assuming you mean the highschool in BR aka Bishop Sullivan, and not the special needs center in Nola, I went to St. Michael's for a semester after Katrina, I'll be honest with you: the kids weren't the brightest, the faculty, outside of Mr. Patterson, was lazy and inept, and often flat out wrong, the administration was horrendous and incapable of instilling discipline, and the school as a whole was a failure.

My daughter started St Joe this year and absolutely loves it. She went to St Aloysius in elementary and jr high so academically they prepared her really well for Highschool and she is doing very well so far.
I have to sacrifice my "fun" hobbies to send her there since I do not want to take out a loan to pay for it but seeing he happy makes it worth it. I'm not an OT baller but her being so happy and doing so well makes it worth it to me.

My sisters two kids went and one still going to St Michael and they have enjoyed their high school as well so I guess it just depends on which one she feels more comfortable at.

My wife and her two sister went to SJA. They were very well prepared for college, all receiving scholarships. They are freakishly close to their classmates - almost like sisters. Or at least that's my opinion, but I went to a 1000+ student public school that I despised.

Baton Rouge High or Lee. She will get in one of the two if you apply to both. It will save you 30K-40K. She will get as good or better academics. She can also ride the school bus. The application period is this month.
