You guys and your infatuation with calling everything trashy is one if the stupider trends of the OT.

I enjoy the hell out of my outdoor kitchen which really just a grill, a couple of side burners, sink and a built in cooler. We cook out there regularly and spend a few nights a week outside on the patio just relaxing.

Sorry there is no room in your trailer park for your hot dog roaster.

I don't have one, but I've been grilling 2-3x a week lately. That moves to 4-5x a week when the weather is nice. Only 1-2x a week in the winter. It would be so nice if I didn't have to walk back and forth, in and out of the house every time I needed something.

If you like them, then build one. If not, then don't. Who gives a shite? Why does it have to be trashy or not?

1 and 4 are tacky. 2 is douchey. 3 is the best of the bunch but even still has gaudy finishes. and all of them have no cover and are mostly useless in bad weather.

Or you know, not buying a house with an outdoor kitchen, thus saving the expense of tearing it out.

I prefer the ones which are built into covered patio areas that provide shade for cooking and eating as well as shelter from the rain. The ones you posted all seem open to the elements and maybe better suited for someplace like Arizona.

BTW, the people I know who have them use them a bunch, but they also have pools and entertain a lot. They still use them in the winter with fire pits/ portable heaters though.

I would like to have one. We just moved to kansas city though and hardly anyone has one, I guess due to the weather. We have a huge patio, I think I'm just going to add a nice tv so I can watch tiger games. We already have a sonos system out there and love it. If anything I might make a smoking area (bbq) with a fire pit.

but it's one of those trendy things that most people spend more time building than using.

Ours was built in 6 weeks. We've used the space and/or the kitchen part just about every day for the last 12 weeks. Ours is covered with multiple fans and a water misting system so it's pretty pleasant despite the heat of summer. We also have a fire pit and will get portable heaters as needed for winter.

Future homebuyers will be tearing them out.

Perhaps, but they also pay more for homes that have them, and homes with them sell faster on average. Once I sell my house, I don't care what they do with it.

I would prefer more of an outdoor bar. #3 would be close if covered.

Trashy? Good lord man... You have officially jumped "trashy" over the gotdamn OT shark.

Most people I know with them, use them frequently because the love being outdoors.

I like #3's setup, but I want the keg set up from #1. And it's certainly the least trashy of the everything trashy rule of the OT.

I'll take #3, but would add some kind of roof over it. Maybe something like a gazebo.
