I am looking to buy a house and I found one I like, but it has a relativity small in ground fiberglass pool. What are the risks vs a gunite pool? Any other negative aspects? Any pros to this type? Hoping someone here has any knowledge on this.

We were looking at one a while back. We expected it to be less expensive but it wasn't. We were told it was easier to clean as the sides weren't rough like gunite so algae could hold.

Limited in designs. Limited with contractors, therefore keeping the price as expensive as gunite.

I had always only see those generic baby blue fiberglass pools. I was driving thru Texas this week and saw some neat dark blue and gray with sun decks and all. Was surprised

Nothing negative. Just your friends and neighbors will make fun of you for being poor.

I had a fiberglass pool. It was easy as shite to clean. No liner to burn with chlorine. Smooth sides . It was 40 years old. Can be resealed for a few hundrewd bucks if needed. It was awesome. If I ever build and put a pool in it will be fiberglass.
