Bringing friends in town next Thursday and want to show them around. Thing is I haven't been out in Baton Rouge in six years. What are some new spots that we can go to?

ETA: Going to Nola for Mardi Gras but staying in Baton Rouge the night before

New Orleans

Point to LSU Lakes while driving on the interstate and say "there is the LSU lakes and LSU"

Especially with Mardi Gras

Imagine telling your friends from whatever state you are from "oh we were in Louisiana during Mardi Gras season"

Other person: "Oh so how was New Orleans, that must have been a fun time?"

"Oh, we just drove around Baton Rouge"

In all seriousness...one of the times I showed my husband around BR we went on the USS Kidd. He's a history buff so he actually enjoyed it.

Eta: if you are looking for daytime stuff obviously
