I like the green, blue on blue, and blue on orange. With that being said, get a Fratagonia Gortex. They're awesome.

I've been in the market for a new jacket myself. My biggest thing is that I want something of quality that won't cause me to sweat my balls off.

I keep a Columbia jacket in my car for emergency and it is nice, but it can get pretty hot pretty fast (and I've lost so much weight that it looks comically big on me now ) so I'd like to find another. I do like the fact that it stuffs into its own pocket.

I also have a mid-calf length rain coat that I use with my suits. However, it doesn't have a hood. I have to use either an umbrella (which I lost years ago and have yet to replace) or my fedora - I like the look, but I can't style my hair when I wear the hat.

If you're still getting the Precip look around

I mean, it's only a 100 bucks, so if you want this year's model go ahead

But they've been around for like 20 years and I regularly see prior year ones on sale for 50 or 60 bucks.

I went to the Patagonia store and they let me pick out a new jacket no questions asked.

I love companies that warranty their products like that. Jansport does the same thing with their pack packs. They'll fix it or replace it no matter how old it is.
