Are BRPD cops required to live within the city limits?

I always let them know and the usual response from them is "you don't touch yours and I won't touch mine"

Similar here. Been pulled over a few times while carrying a gun. When driving it is always in a holster attached to my console right next to the -- can't think of a better term for it -- gear shifter. Keep the hands at 10-2 and tell them - I am have a concealed handgun license. The gun is right next to the gear shifter. Sometimes they ask me to exit the vehicle. Other times its just - keep your hands where I can see them and we are good.

Last time I got pulled over I was driving a rental truck back from Florida. Had one in the center console and a small 380 in my pocket. Officer asks me to step out of the truck so we can talk. As soon as I get out I have my hands away from my body and say I have a CCW and it is in my right pocket. Officer said keep your hands out of your pockets and we are good.

It's all about how you present yourself - are you aggressive or not.

Last year I was stopped and his second question was -you have anything in the car I need to know about? I told him about my gun and where it was. I Stayed by his Tahoe where he said. He got it out unloaded it, called it in. All was cool he reloaded it put it back where it was. He thanked me for being honest and said if ever stopped anywhere to let the officer know asap of the gun ,permit, etc.

Now in the MN case the passenger had the CCP so the officer wouldn't have known prior to approaching the vehicle

Pretty sure that's not correct

But he thought he was an armed robbery suspect... He assumed he had a gun I'd think.

I had a wreck in downtown Atlanta last year. I had my 380 in my front pocket. When the cop showed up, I told her I had it and handed her my drivers license and CCP. She was very polite and said thank you. A few minutes later, she handed me a card verifying that my report had been submitted and said that the final version would be ready in three days. Then she sat there with me until a taxi cab picked me up to take me to the rental car place.

Reckon it all went well just because I am white?

I always get out of my truck when pulled over. I don't tell them I have a gun unless they ask. Never has been a problem and everything has gone just fine.

This happened in Bossier Parish. Cops pulled draw on me many, many years ago. I was driving the car of the business owner, who had left it at the office while he was with one of the business managers. He called me and said he had some documents in his car that he needed and to just drive his car over and get the keys from his assistant, who had a spare set.

On the way, I get pulled for illegal lane change (whatever bullshite that meant). Cop asked for license and registration. When I opened the glove box to retrieve the registration, out pops the owner's .38 handgun.

Cop started screaming at me to put my hands on my head. I did. He opened door, with gun drawn on me pulled me out and to the ground. Second cop shows up immediately and tells me not to move.

First cop retrieved the gun, with the license in the glove box, then they put me in the back seat of their car and proceeded to verify gun to license and contact the owner to validate my story.

They apologized for the incident, but frankly I didn't blame them because the gun just popped out right next to my hand. I'm lucky the cops didn't overreact and just start blazing away.

That video should put an end to black lives matter....if they watched it of course. My gosh, it's literally a split second between life and death for those officers. Resist the police at your own peril I say.

I think the best thing to do if you're pulled over is to hold the gun out of your window and wave it around to make sure the cop sees it, so they'll know you are armed.
