I mean, without strangulation how did he kill them with a belt? The only possibility I can think of is swinging the metal buckle numerous times per child 
Wouldn't be surprised to find out that there's meth or something else involved, that's a LOT of rage even for a sober psychopath. Completely fricked up either way, dude deserves the most painful, gruesome death humanly possible.

Correct.
I actually don't need to know about the worst of us but some posters feel so superior being the first to post about the depravity of Humankind.
I'll never agree with or understand that sickness.

I wonder if this happens with pets as well. Owner gets tired of having to deal with a handful of pets, gets turnt, kills them all.....

It can certainly be done. Think of flogging--which is whipping someone. A belt isn't much different than a leather whip.
The human body will go into shock and shut down from such pain and trauma. Plus theyre. small kids who aren't as tough.

I feel the same way. I have to block people on Facebook that keep posting about animal abuse, especially the yulin dog meat festival. I get and appreciate that they are fighting for animals rights and trying to bring awareness to horrible atrocities, but I do not want to see pictures of dead animals on my Facebook news feed.
