The issue is "Duty, Honor, Country" is front and center in the American public's mind when they think of West Point. Those are bedrock virtues.

Makes you wonder if Mr. Reyes "mistyped" the dates on purpose to create outrage. The press release clearly stated it was first added in 1998.
