Went to RICE University graduation last night....

Besides being very hot and humid in the football stadium I am not exaggerating when I tell you that fully 90% of the grads were middle eastern, oriental and African names that were absolutely impossible to pronounce or understand. The white students were very few and far in between. It was shocking and I heard others around me voicing the same disbelief...WTF is going on in this Country...?
Oh, and the tiny Palestinian flags they waved crossing the stage were a bonus....
Go to any place in the diploma granting section and be amazed...

Rice has always been very diverse. I am going to TCU’s next weekend. I don’t expect to see any Palestinian flags.

Was at TCU in December for another graduation....TOTALLY different experience...I am not against diversity or equal access but this experience last night was over the top...

Lots of upper-class Asians, Indians, and Nigerians in the Houston area. Their kids usually do well academically and end up going to Rice. Not surprising tbh.

This is why I forbade my son from attending Rice and forced him to learn a trade

The Palestinian flags were all what you expected: middle easterners + white women.
Chinese didn’t rep anything, neither did white males (at least in the 3 minutes I watched). Hispanics seemed to come to the Asian and white male side while AA had some black pride.
