open to the public?? Where do I sign up?
Posted on 8/13/15 at 5:32 pm to RetiredTiger
I think it's open to public. Have to show ID and passport to get in or have a Stennis employee escort you.
(Mrs. CD works there)

man, that is cool as hell...

The test lasted the entire duration of what it would normally run during a lift off - 480 seconds(8 minutes)
They were giving us a countdown every minute up till 2 minutes before ignition. I was trying to get ready for the initial firing and it fired about 20 seconds early so I missed the start up. It was loud as hell with an initial "boom".

You have a Mrs? Does she know how ridiculously creepy and stalkerish you are?
Posted on 8/13/15 at 5:46 pm to Breesus
What if he told you, she doesn't care.

Dumb question, but I thought we got rid of our shuttles. Is this for a rocket?

No such thing as a dumb question Janky.
You know that.

Pretty cool. About how far away was that that you were standing. On a scale of 1-10 how loud was it?

Does Mandy know about your babe threads?

Does she know what a creep you are on here?

Got any pics of Mandy's feet?
Posted on 8/13/15 at 6:23 pm to cdaniel76
Whats amazing is that those rockets have been manufactured almost exactly as they were 40-50 years ago.

About a 1/4 mile away. Initial ignition was a very loud BOOM but the rest was a just a rumble. On a scale of 1-10, ignition was about a 9 and the remainder of the test was about a 6. But I had noise reducing ear muffs on too, so I can't be certain how loud it was to an unprotected ear.
