Your poor wife. That Pitocin is brutal. I had natural childbirth and my labor stopped so they hooked me up to the Pitocin. Oh Lawd. Those contractions came so hard and fast I thought I'd pass out. Ouch.

She wasnt happy about the pitocin at all. She wanted a natural childbirth as well but this kid just doesnt want to move down so dr told her she needed to have a low dose to get things going. She is still at only 3cm dialation.

How far is she dilated now? I went from Lamaze breathing to white knuckle, teeth gritted, cuss like a sailor mode in rapid fashion.

Heck I went from about 4 to "she's here and the doctor isn't so don't push" in 20 minutes. I told that nurse "you've delivered babies before ... you're up". Had to have 2 NICU nurses there for real as the doc REALLY wasn't going to make it. Thank God it was in the middle of the night or else she really would have been born at Ambassador Caffery and Johnston Street intersection had it been daytime. And we did NOT dilly dally to get to the hospital ... baby wanted to meet her momma and daddy!
