No one has made a direct reference to the Tuscaloosa tornadoes yet you chose to immediately get on your high horse and act so offended.

Why do you assume this is about the Tuscaloosa tornadoes?

Maybe I've spent more than half my life watching tornadoes pop up several times a year, huddled in a storm shelter.

These seem pretty frequent in Alabama. Luckily, we don't get them as much here in Louisiana. At least not the outbreaks y'all seem to get. Do most people in Alabama have storm shelters?

At the very least, you made sure you knew someone who did.

In the past ten to fifteen years, the frequency and severity of the storms have seemed to increase, and I've seen a lot more new shelters (especially community ones) put in.

Dixie Alley is for real.

We have a finished basement with a bedroom, bath and play room. I can make everyone drinks at the bar while we are hiding from the storm.

At least that's good. As long as most people can get access quickly to these places.

A storm party.

Tornader party doesn't sound nearly as fun as a hurricane party. When the 2011 storms rolled in, we had everybody huddled up in the basement at 5:30AM. Didn't feel much like drinking.

That's a common bond among most southerners. Just thought you took an ermagerd joke a little too personally.

Perhaps. Sometimes it's just fun with a laconic 'frick you'.
