Just not configured well. GE fridge. Do they make lines that can serve to extend the current line allowing for the hookup to take place?

Hose and compression fittings. Fairly simple.

Just call someone so you don’t compound your problem.

All it is it 1/4” tubing.

You can get at Lowe’s in either copper or nylon- usually sell it by the foot.

You can also buy the needed compression nuts/fittings while you are there. It should be right around the tubing.

You’ll need the tubing, something to cut it with a 1/2” or crescent wrench and maybe something to use for a backup.

Simple.

Nope, something like that doesn't exist. Take the fridge back.

Home Depot sells extender kits of various length. Flexible tubing. Simple if you have the water connection ready to tie into.

Nope. You'll have to go down to the ice house and get large blocks of ice and chop them up with an axe

You can buy the waterline that goes from the outlet to the fridge for $29.99. Your salesperson should have sold you that accessory with the fridge.

On second thought, get you some Cajun Flex Seal baw.

After the fix you can even maybe find a little cowan for the dinner.

I got a 10ft stainless braided hose for mine. Had to buy online but I didn't want the stiffness of copper and I've had that clear plastic crap spontaneously burst before.

you can get shark bite quick connects and small tubing. Lowes and Home Depot both sell it.

Can use this type valve as couple if your line is 1/4 tubing

been using something like this behind my fridge for well over 12 years. Some tubing

These are some possibilities depending on your setup. There are various ways you can go. I went a slightly different route on another filter.
