I think it's a valuable addition to any amateur collector's store. I'm wearing mine more and more to boot. I actually went with the 1861 movement (3570) because I actually preferred the authenticity of the hacelite. I also kind of resented the "First and Only Watch Worn on the Moon" on the 1863, which is historically inaccurate. I really, really wanted the rear display on the case of the 1863, but I ultimately chose the "Flight Qualified by NASA for All Manned Space Missions" on the real moon watch. Didn't hurt that my dealer offered it to me for $600 less (I think it retails for about $1100 less).

I went with the black strap as well.
