Don't resist, follow the Policeman's recommendation and she does not go down!

If she acted like she was asleep that wouldn't have happened.

My theory still stands. Just act like you sleeping.

I'm trying to figure out why the frick he did it. I mean maybe she wasn't cooperative but you slam somebody in the head like that you actually could kill them. So yeah excessive

Looks like she was resisting by pulling away as he grabbed her by the arm.

It was a violent take down. Take downs usually are violent. Wish we could hear what the Officer and female were saying to each other before hand.

Many departments train Officers to use that level of force with a subject who is defensively resisting. They certainly don't train to take some one down softly.

Serious question: how does he cuff her when she won't turn around?

Good question

This officer must be the hulk to turn someone even bigger around

Isn't that the same place where Jimmy Jump got taken down by NYPD?

Hope she remembered the hot sauce.

Interesting gif that you posted. Not the same at all The guy there completely complied once the officer put his hands on him. Do you not see the difference?

Let me guess, you do not say that when a police officer comes out of a situation badly?

Old Town Fort Collins arrest video sparks social media stir
Jason Poh

A nine-second video went viral online Saturday showing a Fort Collins police officer throwing a 22-year-old woman — apparently face-first — to the brick pavers in Old Town.

Police maintain the arrest technique was relatively standard and the woman had already assaulted the officer.

Officers were dispatched Thursday night to reports of a "separated disturbance" between two men near Bondi Beach Bar in Old Town Fort Collins. While officers were gathering information from employees about the reported fight, the girlfriend of one of the suspects "shoulder-checked the bouncer and an officer and then pulled her boyfriend from the area," said Kate Kimble, Fort Collins police spokeswoman.

"The officers told her that her boyfriend was not free to leave but that she could go," Kimble said. "She remained at the scene, at which time she physically obstructed and struck an officer."

That's when Kimble said the officer used a "standard arrest control" to subdue the woman, identified through jail records and by police as 22-year-old Michaella Surat.

A bystander captured part of the incident on video and shared it online. The succinct clip shows what appears to be a scuffle between the woman and an officer in Old Town Square. A few seconds later, the woman and officer grapple before he brings her to the ground.

By midday Saturday, the video had been viewed or shared thousands of times on Twitter and Instagram.

The incident was also captured on body-worn cameras. All District 1 police officers wear the devices, and Fort Collins Police Services is in the process of outfitting every uniformed cop in the city with the cameras.

"As this is still an open case, body camera video is not being released at this time," Kimble said. A police supervisor will review the use of force to ensure the actions are within policy and training.

Officials on Saturday did not publicly identify the officer. ...

Not at all. She was resisting the officer (just like the thugs do who rightfully get kill't). Even if you're a sexy little flat arse blond, you still need to NOT resist an officer. If you think you're right and they are wrong - that's what the court system and law suits are for.

So, what is reasonable force for an officer to apprehend someone that is resisting? Is there a limit?

I wonder if he asked her to cooperate? If he didn't ask her to cooperate first then I think this was excessive... cops should make it clear what they want the person to do. After that is clear the subject has the choose to comply or pay a price.

What he means is that he will support any use of force, even deadly force, used against someone that does not comply with the police.

I'm hoping with social media this video will spread fear like wildfire. Maybe people will start to "respect law inforcement.

It could have other tragic results for LE as well. I am sure events like this impact those crazies that decide to strike back.

Police need to be policed just like the rest of the country. It is the lack of consequences for bad cops that fuel support for groups like BLM

Guess I dont, looks like the officer twists his arm behind his back for him if you ask me.

Regardless, grown men tazed in the nuts don't hit the ground as hard as she did.

Her face hit the ground before her legs lol, seems excessive to me.

BLM groups feel empowered because there are only a few cops out there with the grit to do their jobs. I'd say 70% of cops are just there for a check "only job they could get" and never cause any resistance to criminals. If 70% of cops were like this guy in the video and 30% were cucks then groups like BLM wouldn't exist. They only are able to flourish because SJW are not afraid of them..... thats the 70/30 relationship I'm talking about.

So, if you had a daughter.............

Sounds familiar.

I'm not sure if it's excessive force or not. Are police trained to female perps differently from male perps?

I would imagine their reaction should be based on how big a threat they're facing. In this case, I doubt this 110 lb girl was much of a threat to that cop. He's a piece of shite.
