He does seem like he was a colossal a-hole, but so is anybody celebrating his death, either here or on Facebooth. It’s uncivilized. Uncouth. And we should be above it.
That said, people in that original thread seem to be poo poo-ing what he did. Granted, it didn’t warrant his execution, but if you’re a grown man and anybody—especially a guy you’ve been feuding with for a decade—shot his water hose inside your truck, you’d want to kill somebody too. I can’t imagine too many things more disrespectful. For most of us, it would have led to fisticuffs. For a near 80 year old man who probably would have gotten his arse beat and happened to be packing, it led to 2nd degree murder charges. Terrible thing.

If not for Lee being an LSU nut and looking like the average OTer, no one would really be questioning the FB comments. If dozens of people are commenting after your death about how big of a piece of shite you were...chances are you were probably a piece of shite

Dude gets a lot of hate. I understand that but Big Lee will always be good in my book. About 10 years ago I got into a wreck on a Sunday in Metairie near his house. I was about to drive back to BR. After finishing up with the cops we were about to call a tow for my truck and have a friend bring us home. Then Big Lee pulled up in the convenience store parking lot and the the J.P. Deputy kind of laughed and said “that guy owns a tow company” and pointed to Big Lee. She was kind of hesitant about him but said he was a good guy. So I went to talk to him, he was hesitant because he was relaxing on a Sunday. Then he saw I was wearing an LSU shirt. He said “heyyyy LSU!!! then pointed to all his LSU shite he was wearing and that was all over his yellow Vette.” Then he said don’t call a tow, they’ll charge you out the arse on a Sunday. Let me go get much truck and I’ll take you and your truck back to BR and charge you $100. Which apparently was a hell of a deal. The ride was interesting. He drove like a maniac. Dude had 3 loves: LSU, Al Copeland and Harry Lee.
He was harmless. Probably a little retarded or in the spectrum. Big heart though.
TL;DR
Big Lee was a good guy with a big heart. Probably a little mentally disabled. Dude did me a solid.

Actually the unprovoked part was spraying on the vehicle. Neighbor could have just drove off, but decided to get in a shouting match instead, and then pulled out a gun.
Anyone cheering what that guy did is just as trashy as the two people actually involved in this.

I've only seen that happen one other time and it was some guys in their 20s, and resulted in a brawl.

If you follow WBRZ on Facebook. When they post about the passing of someone well-known in the BR area,
some jackass will always come shite on them.
Most recently it was the guy who was a founder of Trafton/Dunham in BR.
It's pathetic of them but they are just trying to get people riled up by being assholes b/c they don't have much else going on in life.

I really do feel bad for the guy. He may or may not have been a great guy but outside of being a rapist or murderer it's sick to celebrate someones death. Especially since the guy seemed somewhat off mentally.
