You can't prove one way or the other from that video, however the cops weren't indicted so id lean more towards them saying something.

You walk through a supermarket waving a gun, and I mean any type of gun, you should not expect to be taken lightly.

That was straight up murder. I remember me and my friends having BB gun "wars" back in the day. They literally just murdered a guy for holding a toy that could put an eye out at best.

I hope hell is real. They have priority boarding passes.

He wasn't waving it! It was on his shoulder the whole time and then was pointed downward. When he was confronted there was no else around him

That's why you are supposed to do your damn job, and simply open your eyes. What if he would have picked up a plastic completely fake toy gun? Same outcome.

I get that from the video.

Why was he just walking around with it though?

No, he wasn't. But if the cops get a call that says "a man is brandishing a rifle" they can't just shrug and say "He's probably not waving it and it's probably just an air rifle anyway."

walk in building with gun in hand.. be prepared to get shot. I would rather an idiot with a gun in his hand dead than wait and see what he is going to do. Good job by the officers

Also, dude is just on the phone saying God knows what while blindly carrying what could be perceived as a weapon by all patrons at the store.

Darwinism is a real thing people.

You evidently know absolute shite about what you're talking about.
That weapon he had is capable of 1000fps velocity and can kill you if shot in the right spot.
The "BB guns" you and your buds used to play with where red Ryder bb Guns. You could actually see the BB coming out it was so underpowered.

From second link:

quote:

In 2010, Beavercreek police officer Sean Williams — who, along with Sgt. David Darkow were the officers involved in Crawford's death — was found to be justified in the shooting and killing of ex-Air Force Master Sgt. Scott A. Brogli.

quote:

"The reason there's so much controversy here and in Ferguson, is people are judging the police just as if this was a situation involving a citizen," said Pedro, who retired from law enforcement after nearly 30 years, including 25 years with Kettering's police department. "Citizens are required to only use deadly force when they believe their life or someone else's life is in imminent danger."

Pedro, a firing range owner and trainer who hosts Shootin' from the Hip on 95.7 WHIO, said United States Supreme Court rulings have held that law enforcement officers have greater latitude because they have a dangerous, rapidly-evolving, stressful job. "Police officers don't have to be right. They need to be reasonable."

quote:

"The quick response of officers was instrumental in containing this situation and minimizing the risk of customers," the police chief said Aug. 6 at a press conference, where he declined to take questions. "Preliminary indications are that the officers acted appropriately under the circumstances."

You should worry about relaxing that anger towards posters and let us worry about our kids. I'm not saying he should have been shot to death, but a little self awareness goes a long way. It shouldn't take much to realize ambling around a store with a BB gun out of the box might cause some people to get worried and/or call the police.

Exactly. And who buys something that is out the box anyway? What was the point of him carrying something that could be considered a real firearm around the store?

And again, with no audio, what is going on with the phone convo? Is he arguing with his baby mama loudly? Using cuss words while moving the firearm in the air?

If I turned the corner to the next aisle, and saw that shite, I'd freak out.

There is no context without audio.

I thought you could bring a gun most places you want, as long as it's yours, and not concealed?

I doubt Walmart's policy is to allow open carry. I could be wrong, though.
