Not really true, but to the extent it is true, blame our low minimum wage.

No one should be forced to shop at Walmart because we won't fix our income inequality.

Are you fricking kidding me.

Did anyone bother to look up Whitewright on google maps? It's not like there aren't a whole lot of other grocery stores within a 10 mile radius. Does every intersection with a stop light that calls itself a town deserve a whole grocery store?

Hopefully, Walmart will continue to have financial issues and we'll see the end of its retail dominance.

Yeah - forcing them to pay their workers $15 to $20 an hour should make them more responsible and financially viable, right?

And, imagine all those millions of folks with Wal-Mart stock in their 401k portfolios. Serves those capitalists right.

HH, I know you're a real hippie. Ignore Hea- *ahem* yoga girl. She's a spoiled, rich neo-hippie (or at least this is the character created by whomever's alter reateh was before changing to yoga girl.)

It looks like they are less than 10 miles from some other towns as well so I'm sure they have other grocery options.
Whitewright has a bunch of small towns around it (Bells, Blue Ridge, Trenton). They need a locally owned grocery store and didn't need to be defrauded by Walmart.

Walmart is an example of a monopoly squashing competitors and then leaving the town empty handed.

whats the end game you see here?

step 1: open walmart in town which already has market
step 2: kill other market, shut down the walmart
???
step 4: PROFIT!

Unless, by some chance, you are not rehtaeh (or whatever it was), then I don't believe you.

I'm a whoever, not whatever. I've also posted pictures too.

So, don't necessarily believe the spin that poster put on this.

Defrauded? You can't be serious.

Let's say the only stores in a 20 mile radius of your home are Store A and Store B. Store A sells a box of cereal for $6 and only sells that one type of cereal, Store B sells that same box for $4 and also offers 10 different types of cereal; which store do you go to?

I like the one on Highland/Lee in BR

I can't stand it. Never more than 2 cashiers and always way too many people in there. Mostly students. Last time I went in there for one thing, the lines were into the shopping aisles.

Honestly, both stores by campus (Winn Dixie and WalMart) are some of the worst of their brand in BR. No other Winn Dixie bothers me like the one by LSU.

You should donate your land to create a good source for your local comrades.

Fair enough - it is only based on objective analysis of your posting style and that of reateh, and timing when you started posting and her posting count dropping off.

On the other hand, we were all fairly convinced that reateh was the creation of a Poliboard regular - an alter ego or caricature (depending on the political leaning of that poster) and I'm still on the fence.

To be fair to me - you must admit I generally engaged you in discussion as though you were posting truthfully and were whom you claimed to be.
