Has anyone done business with Vivint? I'm looking for indoor and outdoor security cameras.
Are you satisfied with the company?
Upfront cost? Monthly cost?

Really like the system. Able to get away with no upfront cost. 85.99/month for:
Panel and monitoring
3 glass breaks
3 smart locks
Window sensor
Smart outlet
Doorbell camera
Another indoor camera
DVR that stores last 30 days of video from 2 cameras

That's almost double what I was paying before with the usual home alarm system and I was hesitant at first, but I've been very happy with it. When an alarm goes off they come right through the panel to check on the house. The app that works everything is great. Oh and everything works with an Amazon echo (I got the Dot for only $30.)

They were once banned from several states including Louisiana for numerous reasons.

If I were able to be assured that experience I would absolutely be all in.

They reviews online are horrendous to say the least. It does look like company has turned it around after a rebranding.

5 years unfortunately. But I've had no reason to even think about breaking it almost a year in now.

They installed everything. Its actually funny because I had been blown off by Guardian already and they told me they could do it all and same day at that. By that evening the whole system was set up with no issues since.

Did they use lube?
I have heard nothing but horror stories about Vivent.
I have heard they will rarely finish the install 100% and will never return if it needs to be serviced all while sending you to collections is you don't pay while your stuff isn't working

Thanks for answering.... had one of their reps here last week offering $49.99 a month plus extra for additional equipment... just didn't like the idea of such a long contract... if you buy the equipment up front there's no contract pur the rep

We like it. We got the smart system with cameras, glass break sensors, a 1tb cloud drive, touchscreen, thermostat, and remote keypad deadbolt for 69 per month.

I believe the hardware was only 100 bucks or so with the promo they were offering. My wife jumped on this which initially pissed me off, but I like the system.

Extremely high pressure sales. Dude came to my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. He stayed in the neighborhood for a full week (not even 100 houses) and was going to house 2, 3, even four times to the point people started calling the police when he wouldn't leave.

He wouldn't leave when my wife asked him to three times. I finally threatened to shoot him if he didn't get off my property.
This was his second time at my house after I told him we didn't have interest.

After that there is zero chance I'd use them.

I can't get rid of them fast enough. They suck. One year left in a 5 contract.

After watching the Undercover Boss episode where it profiled the founder and CEO of Vivint, I vowed to never give that company one cent of my money.....
