Personally, I'm glad they don't allow it. But on the plus side, government was must less intrusive back then.

The good old days, when a flight attendant was a stewardess. I bet it was actually fun to fly back then.

It certainly wasn't a cattle herding experience like today. Folks actually took pride in their appearance when flying.

You mean until 1990, and that was only for flights under 2 hours.

It was later than that. I am pretty sure it was allowed well into the 80's.

Would they allow this today in the terminals? And would anyone here get on a plane with these folks?

People bitching about "poors" flying these days and shitty conditions do realize that you can achieve the level of luxury in those pictures If you spend the equivalent money, right. Or did you not realize that you're actually a poor too.

Yeah smoking on planes was awesome. You had to sit in the back of the plane if you smoked though. I did at the time.
