“Lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret is dropping its feminist makeover and bringing back “sexiness” as it tries to reverse falling sales.

The company retired its traditional catwalks with its signature “angels” in 2018, and declared its aspiration to be “the world’s leading advocate for women”.

Its return to fashion shows last month featured no runway, and instead had the model Naomi Campbell reciting a poem.

However, the brand’s efforts to promote inclusivity have failed to halt a decline in revenue and company executives now plan to prioritise sex appeal over female empowerment in its marketing.”
