One way to assess hydration in an animal is to lift the skin over the animal's shoulder and watch how fast it goes back to its normal position. In a normal, healthy animal, if the skin between the shoulders is lifted up and then released, the skin will pop back to its normal position immediately.
In dehydrated animals, there is less fluid in the skin and it is less elastic. When lifted off the back, the skin of a dehydrated animal will not immediately fall back to its normal position. If a pet has lost 6-8% of its normal fluid, there will be a definite delay in the skin returning to its normal position. If the pet is 10-12% dehydrated, the skin will actually look like a tent and not go back to its normal position. Signs of shock may be evident. If a pet is over 12% dehydrated, it is an extreme emergency.
Other ways to assess dehydration are to examine the mucous membranes (gums); they should be moist. In a dehydrated animal, the eyes may appear sunken in. In very dehydrated animals the heart rate may be increased, but the pulse would be weak.

Probably ate a lizard and has the scours. Follow the advice posted about dehydration and the 5 Ps. Don't wait to go to the vet. Chances are if something is wrong, it will turn to shite at night costing you more money in emergency fees. People always wait and then get pissed having to pay for an emergency visit. I don't get it.

Take her to the vet tomorrow. Mine did that-wasn't interested in food or water. She seemed fine other than that. Turned out she had advanced stage cancer. Cats are very good at masking sickness.

Seriously and the price difference is pretty stiff. I've paid that price many times, not because I waited, but because my cats seem to throw off signals at night or on weekends after the vet closes.
Had that happen in May when my oldest kitty got up from a nap Friday night and couldn't walk with most of her back end. Turned out she had terrible arthritis and her bones looked "moth eaten" per my vet.No signs of anything whatsoever. 5 p's all present until that time. Had jumped up in my chair and sat with me while I worked most of the day, played with a kitty toy, the whole works.
ER didn't even give me a strong enough pain killer to get her through the night. The vet there also didn't tell me how bad it was. I was told to take her to my vet in the morning for further information. I had to say goodbye to her first thing the next morning at my vet's office after she looked at the xrays and report. My kitty was suffering badly through the night for about 12 hours and I still regret that I allowed that to happen. She deserved better. Really ticked me off. I've had several bad experiences at the ER.
One vet made jokes while he was telling me my kitty needed to be put down. I had my young niece with me and she was about to jump up and push him down. Bedside manner was unbelievable or lack thereof. At least, that guy hasn't been seen there again. I didn't hold back on my experience there. It was my first time at the new ER.

Yea, instincts can frick them up sometimes since they aren't used to eating bugs and shite as their primary source of food.

It's weird when that skin stays up. Very weird. One of mine had some dental work done and wouldn't eat or drink. I had to keep checking and when the skin stayed up, it was so alarming and bizarre. Back to the vet we went and it's also strange when they get fluids and they have big hanging area full of the fluids before they distribute.

She just drank some water out of the sink..won't drink out of her bowl. Also i cut up some pieces of pork chop and some macaroni and she ate that too.
What's the deal here?

The food bowl is plastic..yes.
I'm about to toss the cat food and heat up some parts of a hot dog and see if she eats that
