1980 International Scout II with the little turbocharged Nissan diesel.
No rust, very good interior, did need the paint job refreshed. Very rare to find them now with no rust, and the quality of interior mine was.
Sold for 4k on eBay. Could have spent like 5k tops on it and would have had something HIGHLY sought after.
Had no idea what I had. Just a dumbass college freshman.

Had a 99 Civic that was indestructible, and my dad had an 84 C10 that he sold. I would've bought it from him had I known.

1970 Ford Galaxie with a 351 V8. When I got up to 90mph it whistled, sounded like a jet engine powering up. Rarely needed repairs, but when it did everything was easy to get to.

1997 993 Turbo S in Arena Red
1995 E36 M3 Lightweight the only way they came white with Motorsport graphics
I owned them both at the same time, drove them for about 10 years, and sold them for more than I paid, they are both worth serious money now. They were both very special drivers cars, especially the Lightweight. I sold them to buy a "better" car and in a lot of ways it was but the 993 and E36 were a lot more special than I realized at the time. Had I known I would have just bought a Camry and kept both of them.

1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max. It was my second vehicle, I inherited from my grandpa after he quit driving. Also wish I had my first car which was a 1991 Pontiac lemans baby blue with a thumping sound system!

I had a 89 Isuzu Trooper with the 4 cylinder Isuzu engine. 4 speed. Loved that thing!

2011 F150 Lariat 5.0 4wd sold with 160k miles because it needed a new main seal and a new steering rack. I didn't feel like dealing with it. I had already ordered a new car and was offered $15k for the truck. Now I'm in the market for a 4wd truck to tow a boat and I can't find anything as good as the truck I sold for anywhere close to that price. Money wasn't an issue, I just couldn't pass up a good deal.

Great thread BTW! Was just thinking about the two-tone (Navy & white) ‘85 F-150 Stepside that I never should’ve sold for super cheap. I routinely look at Bring a Trailer to see if my old truck or similar one is for sale. You just don’t see “stepsides” for sale.

2003 E39 M5 Titanium Silver w/black interior, 7 speed manual with the modded short throw shifter - Shoulda just kept it, but sold it for a 2011 E63 MB AMG - the last year of the big arse NA V8'S - a much nicer car, but nowhere near the soul of that beast M5. Never owned another BMW after that E39 M5 - that was one of the greatest sports sedans ever made.

quote:My wife owned one of those Troopers. Same year. Same color, but it had 6" high black vinyl trim along the bottom of the doors For years it was our trash hauler. She sold it for $1800. Today, it would get probably $12-$15k.
