A bunch of ULL fans are tailgating in Orange Beach this weekend because it's cheaper and a lot more exciting than Boise. My old boss was on the alumni board and went to this every year. They do it at least once a year or every other year as a local travel agency organizes it.

* A lot of those Bama fans in Lafayette are ex bandwagoners who jumped off of LSU's when they started losing 2 games a year. Just a select few are jealous Cajuns.

I'm headed to the LSU game today wearing gold, and I'm a diehard Cajun fan.

There tends to be a stereotype around here that ALL Cajun fans pull against LSU or pull for Bama. Now, we have a few knuckleheads just like LSU has their own share (go read the scoreboard board when the Tigers trail in a game). There's a difference between pulling against a school and not caring whether or not LSU wins or loses. Take me for example. Covering high school football in Acadiana, I've had the pleasure of getting to know guys like Travin Dural, Lamar Louis, and John Diarse. So, I would love nothing more but for them to do well. Now, if the Tigers lose tonight; will it ruin my weekend? Probably not. So you see, there is a difference.

But here's to both a Cajun and Tiger victory tonight
