I get excited when I get a lot if downvotes.

The post that resulted in my last banning had over 100 upvoted

Started a thread on the poliboard calling for the repeal of the 19th amendment that had over 50 upvoted.

I came in here just to downvote the OP. Also, I'll be downvoting my own post to keep me humble. Feel free to pile on.

When I'm looking for a psychological effect, I generally take narcotics. Class II substances work best in my experience.

Do those 'upvotes' feel good?

Even if you don't know the "Upvoter" from Adam?

It's a question as to your own valuations of other posters' responses.

You and I are peas in a pod. Minus the motorcycle gang stuff.

The one time I did ride bitch on a Harley, I burned the frick out of my left calf on the tailpipe. True story, no BS. My Aunt Gail was riding and wanted to give me a spin down the block when we were visiting her and my Uncle Mikel down in Gainesville back in 1987. We rafted down the crystal blue waters of the Itchetucknee (sp) River a few days later, and then went to the wonderfully polluted Neptune Beach at Jacksonville. Needless to say, I almost had to have my leg amputated because of that. So, long story short, frick you, frick you, and I love you.

If TD ever starts a viewable count of upvotes and downvotes; it would be the end of enjoyable reading......and the admins know that.

The numerous teenage posters that give a crap about upvotes would start threads like:
-----
"Man oh man, I am excited about Les' Press conference this morning! So much useful information to go 'round!"

"Oh boy, summer is so fun! Let's talk about our favorite player that wore #73!"

-----

You'd have to carve through so many bullshite thread titles just to find one you care about.

and PS-----please downvote this.

Doesn't affect me. That's because I create advertising for a living, so I'm constantly having my work critiqued. I developed a thick skin long, long ago and you can't survive in this business without one.

I listen to all criticism, heeding the intelligent responses and discarding the ignorant ones. As in my advertising work, peoples' responses to my posts have no impact on my feelings about myself. In fact, I forget the ugliest responses quite quickly. None of this stuff is worth lingering over or getting upset about.
