I passed the professional level exam. It was easy just like you guys said. The only issue I had was the communication section (it had 2 answers for multiple scenarios where either one would have been appropriate)

I thought you were studying engineering. They typically take the FE and then the PE. Did you stumble into the wrong room?

I received my Masters of Engineering in May. Right now I am trying to expand my options for job searching.

I have been considering taking the FE, but with my initial background being different, I am not sure if I qualify.

The engineer I work with is only good at autocad and has no business with any manner of tool or instrument in his hands at anytime.

You should qualify to take the FE, you could have taken it while still in school.

Not quite sure what that means so I may be missing something, if in doubt and assuming you're in Louisiana, email LAPELS

LAPELS Contact page

Probably would be Holly Madaffari - holly@lapels.com

That's why we have techs.

Seriously, though, it is not the purpose of an engineer to use tools. Many are much better at design concepts than implementation. Some are better at actual implementation of the systems, including using the requisite tools. A few are good at both.

Often, the guys good with tools come from a lower income background and had to maintain their own vehicles, fix things around the house etc. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
