Emo was horrible during its 15min of fame and it's horrible now. A blight upon rock music. Metalcore is where it was at in the early 2000s.

I actually agree. I did listen to some underoath. When I hear emo I think of the poster child... Hawthorne Heights. frickin gag.

Killswitch Engage
As I Lay Dying
The Devil Wears Prada
August Burns Red

Those are my jams

Nice. I’ll always add in Atreyu & Bleeding Through when I’m in a metalcore mood. Early-mid 2000s were a great time for music.

I jammed some atreyu but I've always felt like the scream vocalist fricking sucks. Weak. But the rest of the band kicked arse so I just dealt with it

Alkaline Trio is definitely not to be forgotten either

I highly recommend "Boy's Night Out" saw them in concert once had no clue who they were and they ripped so fricking hard

I'll never forget that lineup: Boy's Night Out (nobody's) --> Starting Line (still were nobody's) --> Panic! at the Disco (were DEFINITELY nobody's their album came out like that week) --> Motion City Soundtrack (fricking best show I've ever seen so much energy) --> Fall Out Boy

DGAF about listening to that stuff back then, it was amazing, and by big titty pseudo emo gf was into that shite too

Boy’s Night Out “Make Yourself Sick” is super underrated by folks who dug that music scene

I'm atheist but those Christian metalcore bands were the best.
