No I'm not. I updated last post with links.
I mean, you are. Straight fro your link:

The biggest growth categories for Under Armour recently have been in three areas: golf-related items, women's products, and basketball shoes and apparel. Not incidentally, these correlate with the subjects of Plank's praise: Jordan Spieth, Misty Copeland, and Stephen Curry.
You'll notice that Steph isn't the only name listed, and basketball isn't the only sport listed.
ETA: Again, not saying that signing Curry hasn't been a huge win for them.

I never understood why these companies decide to come out and alienate half of their customer base. If I was one of their shareholders I would be throwing a fit.
Makes no sense to me either. I would think it's over 1/2 of their customer base....unless Muslims buy a lot of their product.

If you hold the position at Nike where your job is to pitch things to professional athletes, you should know how to say their names

And if you continued reading you'd see that Steph/basketball footwear is number 1 of the three drivers.

That's not the point. I never said he wasn't.

Stop calling it a ban. Trump and Spicer said the ban is not a ban .

Yea, you hopped in on another post and we kinda drifted. Initially guy said conservatives probably buy 70% of UA stuff and that wouldn't be true considering Basketball gear has been UA main claim to fame as of lately.
Can't hunt and get buckets on the court at the same time. Just doesn't add up

wonder if they'd feel differently if something like the San Bernardino thing happened in one of their offices?

But it's so idiotic to see Bud Light and the NFL and UA get pushed into thinking their customer base cares about this shite.
I'm honestly more annoyed about UA acting like hipster SJWs will hurt their bottom line than I am about UA taking a political stance I might not agree with.
You ever think maybe they're taking a stance because it's something they truly believe in?
84 Lumber spent $5MM on a Superbowl ad to voice opposition to the wall. You think they're just pandering to all the LIBTARD home builders?

Do you think conservatives don't play basketball and buy UA gear or have kids that buy shite loads of UA basketabll gear?
Your thinking is flawed. Pay attention the next time you go to a Pels game or pick you kid up from school. If you don't do either of those things, I can understand why you think only libs are buying UA.

Sounds like a snowflake.

Under armor is publicly opposing the travel "ban."ill never understand these companies issuing statements on political actions. What does a travel "ban" have to do with workout gear? Did they think this statement would somehow add shareholder value? Just shut up and make good shirts.
And this....
What we need is more competition from non-political companies.

Chill---
Was a tongue in cheek joke.
Kinda like how this board jokes all the time about poor ppl not wanting to work and how they enjoy living off of $300 a month food stamps. Same thing.

I think that for them specifically, they flat out capitulated. He made a relatively innocuous statement that was modestly supportive of Trump and his panel, but so did Elon Musk. Both came under fire for it. The company has also been reeling recently. Their CFO left and they guided down hard... they have botched PR big league from a financial perspective. It wasn't just growth but also execution for them. Plank seems to have melted. I'm not a Musk fanboy, but he looks a hell of a lot better than this cuck.

Ditto. It doesn't bother me either way, but I don't get the strategic basis for what they're doing. Both my undergrad and grad schools are UA, anyway, so I'll keep buying.
Nike - I get that. They have a huge share overseas, and they are a global company in every sense of the word. UA is not - they have cannibalized Nike and Adidas domestically, but their overseas business is still relatively small, and they aren't knocking off Adidas or Nike for #2 any time soon. UA has made a big push overseas, but they still haven't gained traction. UA is suburban moms and dads buying their little Kaden the latest Curry stuff or their little Madison some workout clothes.
I definitely don't get the NFL's angle, though I tend to think what they're doing with social justice is something of a sleight of hand to keep the heat off their bad PR in CTE and domestic violence. However, pushing this stuff is about as antagonistic towards their core demographic as could be.
