Before "Wrong Board" talk begins, marijuana legalization talk is a better OT subject. Suppose it's a Hybrid subject.
I hear talk about what are his thoughts and opinions on the subject. As a potential POTUS, it's a question people would like to know, so here are some of the things he has said from a recent article, that I didn't see posted before.

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is hedging his position on marijuana legalization, but is “a hundred percent” in favor of medical marijuana. Nonetheless, Trump’s stated position on legalization is evolving, because he has acknowledged that “in some ways” legalization “is good.”

I've never really understood why it isn't legal. I've known several people who smoked it and still functioned just fine at their jobs and in their lives.
Used to work in a pharmacy and a lot of the pharmacists smoked it. Haha.

Don't worry, his position will change 3 more times before the election. It doesn't matter. TRUMP

He's been calling for legalization the whole time. He wants to stop the cartels and increase tax revenue. Isn't gonna happen for a while, though. Too many old school republicans and democrats that think it's the devil, unfortunately.

in 1937 Cannabis Hemp was one of history's most widely used plants. Tincture of Cannabis was the basis for almost every patent medicine prior to the discovery of aspirin. Hemp was used for rope, twine, and cloth. Sailing ships were loaded with hemp. The word "canvas" is derived from "cannabis", because that's what canvas was. Sails were made of hemp because salt water deteriorated cotton. Old sails were made into wagon covers and ultimately original Levi's Jeans.
IMO, There were companies that wanted to terminate competition. And with lobbyists, money and propaganda..demonized all of it in order to not lose profit.

you can't trust a word out of his mouth, i don't understand how Kerry got killed because he was a "flip flopper" and Trump flip flops multiple times in a single speech and he is praised for it

I truly believe that cannabis decriminalization and regulated trade could save the American economy and stave off the next housing crisis and be a solution to the student loan problems the country is facing.
Land that is unproductive can suddenly become worth millions as it can be cultivated for cannabis production. The wholesale and retail trade will generate income and tax revenue. The grants to universities to research and develop strains tweaked for all sorts of conditions and the research into hemp fiber and production will be a huge industry. The medicinal and recreational markets will create tertiary markets for accessories and equipment.
Regulating the product to keep it small scale, using something akin to the 3 tier system for distribution and bonded warehousing will be additional jobs and construction growth.
Removing cannabis from the black markets will be a huge blow to the cartels, human trafficking will slow down greatly, the smuggling routes will be only used for hard drugs and the dollars to increase border security can come from cannabis use taxes or money saved from not needing to house prisoners for marijuana charges can be moved to ICE and Border Patrol and hard drug traffickers can be imprisoned for the length of their sentences.
The benefits of decriminalizing and regulating trade far far exceed keeping prohibition on the books.

I don't know if all that is true but it could greatly help.
