A Louisiana trucker is charged with causing 160-car pile-up that killed EIGHT people by speeding down a highway in a 'superfog' and slamming into cars in front of him.

Ronald Britt, 61, was been charged with negligent homicide for his role in a fiery highway pileup that left eight dead last year.

Britt was speeding on Interstate 55 west of New Orleans on Oct. 23, when he slammed into the back of a car that had stopped in the left lane behind several other vehicles, Louisiana State Police said in a statement Tuesday.

When you go through CDL training, "Driving too fast for conditions" is cautioned against about 10 billion times. I don't have any sympathy for someone who doesn't heed the warnings.

It was foggy as hell that day, which obviously helped this happen. How in the hell could you possibly be a trucker speeding in intense fog? Stupid bastards man

As a non-CDL driver, I don’t drive any faster than whatever speed matches the visible stopping distance in front of me.

People were passing the police who were driving with their lights/sirens on but not hauling arse due to the fog.

People are dumb.

Have you seen the truckers that drive thru this state?

I have a fear of dying in a car accident so I never speed on the interstate and I regularly see truckers flying past me easily going 15+ over.
