Truck Parking on the GD Plaqemine ferry

For those who don't know(care), or have never taken the ferry. Here's the parking layout:
You board on the bottom, and circle your way around the tower, and park toward the bottom of the tower.
EVERYONE has to do this...except trucks.
The first 6 trucks(Ford FG 150, Ram upMiS 2500) get to pull in to cozy spot next to the exit, while everyone has to wait for them to back in to their stall.
When we land on the other side of the bank...EVERYONE has to wait again for 6 trucks to inch backwards, worried their truck nuts may scrape, to allow these frail truck fricks the ability to leave before anyone else.
I contacted the DOT and lodged a complaint. I took picks to better emphasize the inefficiency of their program.
I was first to board and was motioned around as trucks got to park in stalls.
Even early morning when hardly anyone is on and in areas where normally vehicles park side to side ....trucks "HAVE TO" park in the stalls..and everyone MUST wait for them. (pic shows stall parking full, when there's ample room for everyone else...all could fall in line, and everyone just drives off waiting for NO ONE!)
Remember we are talking S.LA, there are WAY more than 6 trucks on EVERY boat. This is less about truck/non-truck...and more about why the frick do the trucks in stalls "have to backout" before the larger traffic circle departs?
So if you know ANYONE who works the ferry...I only ask one thing aside from keeping EVERYTHING the same....allow the traffic circle to deprt first...and then allow all the truck nuts the time to inch their jacked up POS eyesores the 30 secs each they need to accomplish what a 16 year old in a car could do in 3 secs flat.

Maybe you should be angrier at the person who is close to last to board yet first to leave like that SUV in you first picture. He's the bigger jerk.

Maybe you should buy a truck, then you would get to park in VIP.

You van't time that, and have no idea if you're first in line to leave or the first to not make it aboard.
Those people, I know, are just happy to be on the ferry, they aren't cherry picking their parking spot.
It's the 4:30 am pullup, 10 vehicles in line, 7 trucks/3 cars....and 6 trucks must back into 6 spots, while 1 truck and 3 cars have to wait in an area designed for 36 vehicles.

I'll do you one better,
I'm the guy that is in a f-250 pulling a trailer sometimes.
I hope I get on and my trailer takes your spot while you are stuck on land.

They push trailers to the side. you wait tli it's your time to board....i have no problem waiting you were there first and you needed the space. (cornering is an issue for you)
the same trucks in those stalls are the same make/model of those in the circle....it's not about the truck inbred.

Open that ferry in Paint and remove that ship tower rectangle. Now they can park more vehicles. Problem solved.

what are you expecting the DOT to do?

swampdiggers about to feel the strength of:
IDR(immmediate disclosure request/24hours) of everything allowable under the "Louisian sunshine law"
I click send and they go before the sunshine board (I know that they'll be ill-prepared because I've received NO RESPONSE to inquiries previously made that judges have LONG since deemed as PubRecReq's.
I'm starting the 15 day clock(regardless of holiday) now.
quote:
Louisiana's sunshine law states that:
"[A]ll books, records, writings, accounts, letters and letter books, maps, drawings, photographs, cards, tapes, recordings, memoranda, and papers, and all copies, duplicates, photographs, including microfilm, or other reproductions thereof, or any other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, including information contained in electronic data processing equipment, having been used, being in use, or prepared, possessed, or retained for use in the conduct, transaction, or performance of any business, transaction, work, duty, or function which was conducted, transacted, or performed by or under the authority of the constitution or laws of this state, or by or under the authority of any ordinance, regulation, mandate, or order of any public body or concerning the receipt or payment of any money received or paid by or under the authority of the constitution or the laws of this state, are 'public records,' except as otherwise provided by the public records act or the Constitution of Louisiana."[4]

let the circle clear first, and then anyone who parked in a stall can back-out to leave. NEVER allow stall parkers the ability to leave before anyone else.
guess what...no one will park in the stall except campers or other truely space needy vehicles.
Truck fricks on the ferry are the same as Escalades in the handicap spot at walmart. Bitch with a limp
anyone interested in PRRs

Every time I've parked in these "stalls" has been because the deckhands have directed me to, not because I've asked. And that's being first on the boat or until being the last vehicle to fill a slot. And I've also parked around the tower without being directed to open stalls.
Suppose some of these folks were first on like you and keep getting directed into the stall, after making your suggested change. Would you be for DOTD changing its policy again to appease some other impatient frick who can't handle 30 seconds of waiting?
You should learn to count cars to place yourself in the right spot to exit the boat first, when possible.

get out of your truck and I will
I need your action to justify " imminent danger of being killed or facing great bodily harm "...otherwise i can only give you the finger.
